If chapman makes a successful conversion to the rotation, which he should, the Reds will be VERY dangerous. Everyone forgets he was a starter before 2 years ago and now he can actually pitch instead of throw.

Don't get butthurt but yeah I'd take Kershaw over Verlander. It's not like that is some outlandish opinion.
No but its wrong.

Craig had some of the best numbers in the league in his first full season (in which he only played 120ish games).
Votto is definitely the better player hell i picked him to win MVP but if Craig stays healthy this year he'll be one of the 10 most valuable hitters in the NL... also plays in a tougher hitters park
Cards and Reds are both stacked (NL in general is stacked) should be a helluva fun season

Last 3 seasons
Kershaw: 98 GS, 665.1 IP, 25.9 K%, 7.4 BB%, 3.48 K/BB, .60 HR/9, .208 BAA, 2.56 ERA, 3.23 xFIP, 2.79 tERA, 3.20 SIERA
Verlander: 100 GS, 713.2 IP, 24.8 K%, 6.6 BB%, 3.77 K/BB, .72 HR/9, .210 BAA, 2.79 ERA, 3.31 xFIP, 3.22 tERA, 3.24 SIERA
There's not really a right or wrong answer. They are the 2 best pitchers in baseball I'd just prefer Kershaw given the choice.

Kershaw is younger but still pitches in a much better park and still faces the pitcher.... Gimme a choice I'm taking Verlander or Price

Besides Votto's MVP year, Craig's numbers last year are very similar to Votto's other years. And Craig only played 119 games.
Also, Craig's numbers were better than Votto's last year in only 8 more games.
You are underestimating Craig me thinks.

if anybody arguing whether kershaw and verlander arent the two best pitchers in the majors, they are stupid. id personally take kershaw considering he is 6 years younger but they really are both in a league above everyone else

i agree with that but David price is pretty damn close to the kershaw/verlander tier
