That's not what the financial statements say.

WOW! This is an outrage!
The man is a commissioner of an industry worth almost $10 billion dollars.
An outrage? Check out the CEO's at Coke or Google.

If Super Bowl XLVIII is a disaster -- and there is nothing the league or anyone else can do about Mother Nature, other than try to avoid her by playing in a warmer climate -- Goodell's reputation will be permanently scarred. It has already taken a beating. Adding "disastrous Super Bowl in the name of appeasing two high-profile team owners" to "lockout" and "concussion lawsuits" and "bounties" and "replacement referees" would be enough to make the argument that a change atop this $7 billion industry would be warranted.

If he gets $30 million for the way he handled the player's lockout in 2011, he'll double that for his handling of replacement refs.

Yet you probably still tune in every Saturday. It is popular as ever ie Goodell has done his job well.

You really are clueless about those two things I see.

The more controversial components of his tenure (Refgate, safety initiatives) and displeasure from the fans/players for having done so is more than offset by its growth. The demand for the NFL, as Steve Young put it, is "inelastic."
Not bad for wrecking the most popular league in America.
His job is to be the mouthpiece and advocate of the owners and make them the most money. He has done a stellar job of doing so.
All it takes is enough fans to "stick it to the man" and his performance would be called into question. There has been no such reaction, and if anything the opposite.
As a competent executive, he recognizes such.

How about cutting ticket prices in half and paying him less?
