Wait. you don't think he'll still be wayyyyyy more athletic and at least equally as strong as power forwards? Are you talking about when he's 45 years old? I'm confused here.
I think he thinks Lebron is going to go from 29-50 instead of 29-30

offensive move that will allow him to prolong his career ala Kareem or MJ, but if you were to take his current game and remove his quickness no one would fear him. There are tons of guys in the league with his size and strength...what sets him apart is his quickness...just as it did for Shaq.
so, if you remove his tools that make him better, he isnt better. Ok, got it.
James in Miami is the same as Jordan with the Bulls in regard to supporting casts. We will see what transpires. I think James challenges for goat by the time it is over, better than Oscar Robertson.

If you had to pick between the two, that would be a tough choice, but five beats one every time I look at it. And not that he [James] won't get five. He may get more than that, but five is bigger than one.
Well, that's the stupidest fricking way to look at it.

You realize Jordan took a break just to go dick around in baseball during the prime of his career?

NBA.com: You were close to Wilt after he retired. How often would you talk to him?
Harvey Pollack: All the time. Wilt was big on stats. One time he called me up and said, 'You know, Harvey, Michael Jordan can't hit a shot beyond 15 feet?'
[edited out for brevity]
So, during the height of Michael's career, I got the play-by-play of the first 20 Bulls games and I checked the distance of every shot Jordan took during the season and sure enough, he was shooting under 40 percent from 15 feet back.
[more edits]
Another season, Wilt said that the refs never called any traveling violations on Jordan. Wilt was after Jordan for some reason. I checked the play by plays and Wilt was right. Jordan was called only for four traveling violations.
People remember whatever they want to remember about players. For reference roughly 40% from deep 2 is what LeBron and Kobe shoot from there. And LeBron has easily become a better 3pt shooter than Jordan ever was. Jordan's only good 3pt shooting year was when the NBA 3pt line was only 22ft as opposed to 23'9". Jordan was amazing, but there's no need to exaggerate his greatness. He had flaws in his game just like everyone else.

Jordan has an incredible track record for being awesome at evaluating talent.

he is behind jordan on the power curve at the same points of their careers
Jordan was a player way ahead of his time. However, I think LBJ is an extremely comparable player to MJ.
If James played under the same rules as Jordan, I bet James' stats would be at least identical to MJ.

Bulls win in 94, lose players due to money constraints
Lose in 95 (because JORDAN PLAYED IN 95...retard)
Probably have trouble rebuilding team for second repeat because of Jordan's inflated salary on the books those two years prior

at the same age Lebron was in the league longer

However, I think LBJ is an extremely comparable player to MJ.

So you are trying to count James' getting drafted out of HS against him? That's just hatin.

No. He is making a valid point. Lebron has been in the NBA longer...10 years already.

And YES Both MJ and Bron won their 1st title at age 28. now lets see if Bron can win 5 in the next 7 years like MJ did after winning his 1st.

style of play
Kobe is more of quick pull-up shooter who beats you with his dribble. Bron is a power penetrator who is going to go to the basket, but has a good jumper for when that is not possible.
Kobe is a taller, bigger AI. And that is not an insult.

Are you guys suggesting that MJ out of HS wins an NBA title earlier? Does Pippen get there quicker?
