Anatech Review Part 1:
quote:
At the time of the GK110 launch at GTC, we didn’t know if and when GK110 would ever make it down to consumer hands. From a practical perspective GTX 680 was still clearly in the lead over AMD’s Radeon HD 7970. Meanwhile the Titan supercomputer was a major contract for NVIDIA, and something they needed to prioritize. 18,688 551mm2 GPUs for a single customer is a very large order, and at the same time orders for Tesla K20 cards were continuing to pour in each and every day after GTC. In the end, yes, GK110 would come to the consumer market. But not until months later, after NVIDIA had the chance to start filling Tesla orders. And today is that day.
Much like the launch of the GTX 690 before it, NVIDIA intends to stretch this launch out a bit to maximize the amount of press they get. Today we can tell you all about Titan – its specs, its construction, and its features – but not about its measured performance. For that you will have to come back on Thursday, when we can give you our benchmarks and performance analysis.

Official Slides from nVidia:
NDA Lifted: February 18th
Paper Launch: February 19th
Sales Commence: February 21st
Now for the cooler.. which no one cares about, put a block on it!

Hopefully thy stay around 1k a piece. I will have to say up that night checking the web for release. The 680s launched at 2cst and sold out within the hour.

And now I have to upgrade the gfx card I just purchased last week. This is for the birds...

Have a feeling a 3770k will bottleneck these things in SLi.
Might need to step it up to 2011 sooner than later.

The titans are already in my budget. Also a corsair ax1200i. Want to make sure I can OC it.
Just wasn't planning on buying into a new chipset. Then again, it is a new build so why not. Spending 1k on case and more water cooling equipment. 5k is not that bad of a budget if it is your interest.

Why are you going to pay the same price for the titan as you did the 690?
The titan is 65-85% of the power of a 690

Might pick one of these up.

1. VRAM
2. Buying 2 for SLi
3. More OC room (hopefully)

don't listen to the haters man, I like living vicariously through you. I can't wait to see 2 titans on a 2011 build in your caselabs case wit WC. My body is ready.

new specs suggest 80% of the 690 - in a single chip. should get much better SLI performance out of it.

Not only better performance in SLi, supposedly GK110 will scale much better in SLi than GK104.

I think anywhere over $1000 is too much for this Card. I've heard it could be as low as $899 would is what it should be IMO

i wonder if this card will provide better multi monitor setup options. Id love to see a good PLP setup that allowed quick windowing to the middle "L" monitor.
i believe sli/xfire both shite themselves when you try to do that as it is.

well lets not jump to conclusions. let the damn card be out for a couple months and see where the price and performance lands. I for one am happy that one of our own is gonna try it out.

I think the value is around what you stated blue. Just think te limited supply and high demand will let vendors ask around 1100 for them.
I'm willing to pay 1100 for new architecture. Just close your eyes and hit pay now.
It only hurts for a little while....

I'm fairly sure its already been released to reviewers, which is why most of them know specs.
The Vram and bit-bus will make this card perfect for multimonitor setups and 1440p

I wish for the same. It is software/drivers holding this back. We have the power to perform the tasks, just waiting for fcking nVidia to develop this. Plus their multi monitor surround sucks anyway. AMD supposedly has better software, even though I have never used eyefinity.
