Seriously? Did all of yall vote for Obama?
Had the dog owner manned-up right up front and said something like...
"I'm really sorry, my bad, I'm putting the dog down within 24 hours and here's my insurance information in case you have any out-of-pocket expenses",
...then no lawyers, call it a learning experience, and be thankful the injury wasn't more severe.
However, when the trashy count instantly starts shifting responsibility, then the gloves come off.
So as a father, he has a choice of going vigilante and going to jail, or going the lawyer route.
That wound is serious. It's going to cost some serious bucks to address.

I didnt think about that. I have to say, with that attitude, I would prob not have any mercy on the count if I were in his shoes.

Did your daughter provoke the dog and that's why he attacked?

No man,she running around with the kid who lived at the home where the dog lives. It came out from under a car in the carport and attacked her. They were playing hide and seek.

Well think about it. A small dog lacks much of the potential to do serious harm to a human that big dogs possess. That article tried to say dachtsuns were more dangerous than some of the bigger breeds based on bite frequency. I'd like to see the article which compares the amount of stitches used to sew up children per breed.

I hate to hear that. I wonder if the dog felt like your daughter was somehow a threat to her little friend and he tried to protect her. Either way, the dog should know better.

Never knew you are a lawyer.

Not sure if the dog "should know better," as it was probably doing what it felt was instinctive. The owner is more to blame than the dog is IMO.

Well, actually, the one in Texas doesn't charge me retainers anymore since I've required his services so many times...kinda like your fifth tattoo is free at the Ink Stop.

You're probably right. That comment was made in anger.
The one that was on duty that I had the issue with was a GP. He shoulda called in someone better than him, but he didn't and I didn't know any better.
The ones that did my lip and eyebrow did fine.
