1) no but there are areas in the state where public schools depend on gate money from annual games with local privates

2) not always but there is usually a higher level of involvement in most private programs that often creates higher expectations

3) students and parents at a private school are treated more like a customer and the coaches are motivated to get the most out of what they have on hand. In my personal experience at a public school, the coaches treated us like a commodity because there were always more of us coming from where we came from. That is not the way it is everywhere obviously.

4) the comments have been that they won't be worth much because the competitive level will be dragged down

Strangely, I don't think I ever saw 1A championships or 3A referred to as not being worth much.
