That's what I'm thinking. If you think about it, Spags came out last off season as a hot commodity, and while he did have DC experience and success, it wasn't over a long period of time. He was coming off a head coaching gig, and while he did input in to the defense, he had much more on his plate than that.
While I think we could have had eventual success with him, we were miscast in our personnel for his system, especially the secondary, which is filled with a bunch of man cover guys.
This is what concerns me going forward. I don't know much about Crennel other that he's had success and he runs a 3-4. I think, for immediate success, we need to be running a predominately man scheme.
