A 15-22 is its own weapon, its not meant to be switched around.

You can get a dedicated .22 upper, like the ones CMMG or Chippa(sp?) make, and attach those to your lower.

I've only barely seen or read something about this but I believe the 15-22 lowers are shaped differently and are wider than AR lowers. I think, maybe possibly, there's a difference in the take-down pins also.

The 15-22 is a specific gun; the Smith & Wesson 15-22.

You can swap out individual .22LR uppers on AR lowers, just not a 15-22.
