Rockin in the free world.
Em,D,C for the verses
G,D,C, Em for the chorus
Wagon wheel is also extremely easy if you have a capo

There ya go. Get out your CCR songbook and start strumming; they have a bunch of great songs that are easy to learn. If you like Bob Dylan's stuff, he's also got a bunch of easy to learn songs. One of my favorites: You Ain't Goin' Nowhere.

Try some 3 Doors Down. Pretty basic chords with a couple little variations that'll help you as well. Loser and Be Like That are pretty good to start with. Those have more than just basic strumming.

7 Mary 3 - Cumbersome
Fun to play and easy. And who doesn't like singing along to that one.

Strumming chords?
Horse with no name - America
Wonderwall - oasis
Good - Better than ezra
8 days a week - Beatles (on the B minor chord, you can just play the root note until you get the full bar chord, the rest of the song isn't too bad)
Try some old country tunes too...Merle Haggard has some pretty easy songs to strum along with.
