Bills interested in Jim Haslett

The Bills are trying to get in on the Chip Kelly derby, but they’re clearly putting together a Plan B.
And one of the names on the Plan B (or maybe C) list seems to be Redskins defensive coordinator Jim Haslett.
There was an item in the Washington Post Monday which mentioned two teams having “preliminary interest” in Haslett as a candidate for head coaching jobs, but it seemed as much like back-scratching as a report of serious interest in someone hiring Haslett.
Then Chris Russell of ESPNRadio980 in Washington mentioned that one of those teams was the Bills.
Haslett has a clear link there, having played for the Bills for seven seasons. But it’s unclear how serious the interest is, or whether they’ll ask for permission to interview him.

Haslett can be a good coach if he is surrounded by competency.

Haslett's undoing was his hard headed belief that Aaron Brooks was a legit NFL QB. He fell into the same trap that catches many coaches, loyalty to a person who doesn't deserve it, and pride insisting to prove everyone else is wrong and he is right. If he can deal with this, he can be a good coach.

He's a two time Coach of the Year. How many got that shite on their resume?

Don't know what anybody's laughing about. This is a team that was coached by Chan Gailey, Haslett's an upgrade.

Haslett would be a good hire depending on the team.

he helped put together some shitty drafts too. I mean his first round picks were all solid except for Jonathon Sullivan but his mid-to-late round picks were terrible for the most part.

Haslett's saints teams were talented but shite was sooo dysfunctional (8/10 on the crazy shite o meter) behind the scenes.

He picked athletes, not football players
Stallpepper
Hodge
Watson
Craver
Etc
Etc
Etc
Those teams were able to compete because of loomis' predecessor but he took a risk on dale carte as I remember and was canned.
at tebucky jones
at ablert Connell
at trading Ricky and basically turning it into Charles grant and John Sullivan
 at Grady Jackson replacing la roi glover.
 at haslett's eye for talent

Nope. He isn't even a good coordinator hire. I don't know about this year but the last 2 and his stint in STL was bad

Local reports arent really bringing this up at all. Haslett agent getting his name out there.
2 stadium drive and bills.com would melt the frick down.

Grant didn't suck until Payton came. 27.5 sacks his 1st 3 seasons.
