Even the action sequences were hit and miss for me. Some parts were pretty good (the Trolls in particular) but a lot just seemed too cluttered and ill focused. And the constant falling on portions of bridges through the Misty mountain "tunnels" and in general falling long distances without any injuries took me out of my suspension of disbelief more than once.

i said this exact thing. yes its a fantasy movie and these are strong people but shite when you fall hundreds of feet and bounce off rocks and bridges on your way down and then you hit the ground and just get right back up and start running thats a bit much.

Some stupid douchebag at CNN said it was the worst film of the year. And he said nothing about the film mind you, just the technology behind it, you know something that as soon as it comes out on Blu-Ray is not going to make a damn bit of difference to the quality of the movie in and of itself. Plus I saw it in 2-D, which makes his complaints an absolute non-issue for me. We've got a new Armond White on our hands gentlemen.
