Psa blems is good to go. You have to spend a good amount of time to find their blemishes. I think the problem with my lower is the mag release button hole isn't perfect. Not sure what they think is wrong with my upper. I have seen one ptac upper from them and it was gray and looks terrible.

Upper receiver came in today

PSA "blems" are just a way for PSA to put their lowers on sale without devaluing their brand. I've seen 15 blems come in consecutive serials. That is ground for dropping a supplier. If their getting as many actual blems as they sell (a metric shite ton) they need to change up who machines their lowers or who does their anodizing. Now that's not to say some aren't actually blemished, but the vast majority are just fine.

So how many of you check the headspace on an AR you built before firing the first round.....

Not certain, pretty sure cerakote is the one thats baked on, and I would chose cerakote, I like the cerakote rifles I've seen and thats the route I'm going with my 300BLK SBR

Can you cerakote or durakote barrels? Or does it not stand up to the heat?

Cerakote is infinitely better.

Best place to get it done? Do they disassemble and reassemble rifle or do you bring just the parts you want sprayed in?

What would a full cerakote cost?
Posted on 7/21/16 at 10:03 pm to upgrayedd
I've seen around tree fiddy

Is that legit or the typical smartass answer that I normally give?

Green Dragon in Denham does incredible work
Nick "National Treasure" Niblick at Hunter's Run is very good
Prop cerakotes his own, but I don't know if he cerakotes as a service

Where's a good range to shoot at in BR? I need to get comfortable with mine and pump some rounds through it
Posted on 7/21/16 at 10:15 pm to MSG
Indoor ranges are your only real option in BR. Sherburne WMA is your only outdoor option around BR (that I know of).
Posted on 7/21/16 at 10:32 pm to upgrayedd
Any suggestions on an indoor? I'm in central btw.

FRC is a fairly new range on Choctaw. Never been there, though.

We will likely be doing mono color as a service soon, but are currently at capacity with just our rifles.
For the person asking about rates, I think $150 is about the going rate for an AR type rifle around BR.
