I miss shooting mine. I haven't shot it in awhile. Been back and forth doing baby showers and shite.

PSA has 250 rounds of subsonic 300 BLK on sale for $179.99 right now. Pretty good price.

Getting ready to start my first build, what's the best place to have my lower shipped in Baton Rouge? Also, I'm having a difficult time deciding whether to build an upper or just buy one prebuilt. Any advice on that would be great. TIA

hey, beer, I work over at Bowie Outfitters. Put together a complete lower a week ago to sell. It's an Anderson lower receiver with a CMMG lower parts kit, CMMG 2-stage trigger, and a Bravo Company buffer kit. It doesn't come with a stock but we have a bunch to choose from. I will upload some pics for you when I get home.
Sulzer Firearms also has some smokin frickin deals on completed lowers. At $10, he's also the cheapest transfer in town. We charge $50 because we don't want to be bombarded with them, so I'll understand if you go somewhere else
let me know if you have any questions

Sounds good, thanks. I may come by and check out what you got tomorrow. I really want to build at least the lower myself, and I'd like to build the upper but it seems like that requires some more specialty tools to get everything right. Do you stock different built uppers at Bowie?

So I went ahead and ordered a Spikes Tactical Forged Lower along with a PSA LPK and a set of Anti-Walk trigger and hammer pins. Can't wait to get em in!
I'm thinking about ordering this upper:
PSA Upper
Anything I should know about it? It seems like a good deal for a SS barrel upper. I was going to go with a PSA BCG and charging handle also. I'd like to build the upper but for this price it's hard to pass up. I'll wait til my next build and I know more about the AR platform to build the upper.

I do. I like the versatility, but the eye relief isn't that great on the mag piece, and it does add a decent amount of weight to your gun. Mine will hold a zero like a boss though. It really depends on what your doing with it. If your hunting or long range shooting primarily, I would go with a scope. I mainly use mine for fun and SHTF insurance, although it has put a few hogs on the ground.

That's what it would be for. Mainly recreational shooting. I'd primarily just run the reflex, but I figured it would be nice to have the 3x mag for some versatility if needed.

It's really damn accurate (as far as holding your zero), and will obviously extend your range out past where you would be with no magnification, but make no mistake, it's not a scope. It's made for being able to shoot people size targets at "longish" ranges, not quarter size targets.

Officially started my second AR15 build. It is going to be a 22LR pistol.
Starting with this: Tactical Machining 80% lower with a stripped upper still in the white. Planning on clear anodizing them at home.
I'm going to be surprised with a CMMG 22LR conversion kit for Father's day. That will allow me to shoot 22LR out of my other AR until I get my dedicated 22 built.
The wife also got me a CMMG dedicated 22Lr anti-jam charging handle.
I just bought myself a CMMG 6.5" dedicated 1:16 twist 22LR barrel with barrel collar. The barrel collar will replace the front part of the 22LR bolt to turn it into a dedicated 22LR bolt.
Also ebay'ed a el-cheapo no name 7" free float quad rail.
I'll finally have a place for all of my Kwikguard rail covers that are just laying around taking up space.
Future purchases include a Shockwave Blade brace and matching KAK pistol buffer tube.
CMMG Ejection Port cover and gas deflector.
KAK flash can
Redi-Mag better mag adapter which will allow me to use MP15-22 magazines and will give a working bolt release lever
Build Sheet

The finished product will look very similar to this:

I was going to build a dedicated .22lr, but every barrel I have found costs more $$$ than a 5.56 barrel.

Taccom has their 16" barrel and collar on sale for $105 right now. Most setups from Taccom are less than $150 including the collar. That's about what a normal AR barrel runs. The 4" barrels the suppressor crowd likes are $105-120 from taccom depending on which ones you want.

Barrel came in today. Swapped the 223 adapter collar for the dedicated collar. Fitup check with the barrel, bolt, barrel collar, and anti jam charging handle and everything seems goo to go.
