It isn't like he intentionally murdered the guy. In fact it seems like they were very good friends, I'm sure he feels horrible and will have to deal with killing one of his friends for the rest of his life, as well as most likely go to prison. Also since he isn't one of the top players in the league ala Vick, Stallworth, Plaxico, Ray Lewis, ect... His football career is very likely over because of this.
I'm sure he wants to be there for his teammates, his teammates want to be there for him, and Jerry Browns own family wants the organization to be there for Josh; I don't see the problem
I promise this is a shitload worse for brent than it is for any of u fake outraged people typing on ur laptops. The dude lost his best friend, he feels like shite. Its bullshite for u guys to sit here and judge him because of it. The guys parents want people to support him. Im sure his parents know what he would want more than any of us

Jerry Browns mom called Jerry Jones and explicitly asked that he let Josh Brent on the sidelines for the game. It isn't like he intentionally murdered the guy. Yeah exactly.
If he committed a heinous crime intentionally, then hell no, keep him off. In fact, cut him.
This was an accident. It killed his best friend. The courts will punish Brent, that is for certain. He will pay for his mistakes, but in the meantime judgement isn't really necessary.
The best thing for Brent is to not be alone and isolated. Nobody wants that during the grieving process.

Driving drunk and the resulting death of his friend are really not something that the Cowboys should feel the need to publicly support IMO
NFL players have a serious problem with this behavior, too many are getting busted with DUIs and several deaths as a result in recent years
Maybe the NFL should punish these guys as tough as they do on bounty scandals....but I guess people will need to sue the league first....

How is Josh Brent going to make the money he needs to support Jerry Brown's family if he's not allowed back on the team pending trial?
ETA:
That's why Donte Stallworth is allowed to keep playing.

Sean Payton is accused of doing something not even half as bad and it's unproven thus far and he can't be on the sidelines. Hmm...just sayin...
Bitch. Bitch. Bitch. Is that all you Saints fans do?

All of this. I'll defer to Brown's family here. It was awkward, but I think it was the right thing to do. Even if it wasn't: "his mamma call him Clay, Ima call him Clay". IOW, defer to the momma...

Well, Sandusky was not even employed by them. That is a wildly different scenario.

Donte Stallworth was allowed to keep playing because he was providing financial restitution to the family of the man he killed.
