I still remember the late 90s. This season is a 7.

I say 7-8. We didn't lose to anyone we weren't suppose to lose to and we didn't beat anyone we weren't suppose to.

The team overcame a lot, but they did exactly what most people thought they would do. Win games they were suppose to win and lose games they were suppose to lose.

Yes, that's my choice. Unlike some here I don't think we are going to win every game every year. Having lost the players we did through injury, suspension, walk outs, and a new quarterback, I thought it would be about a 7 to 9 game season at best.
I am we'll aware of how tough the SEC is and that's what I based my opinion on. I am more than pleased at how well the big uglies got it done after Hurst left. Mett seems to have grown into his starting role and the running backs, namely Hill, have done better than I thought.

Your mileage may vary.

2 losses is what I expected. So they didn't overachieve or underachieve.

We won a bunch of games despite serious adversity but few wins were enjoyable to watch. And we lost the only game we really cared about in heartbreaking fashion. And like it or not, I can't help but to contrast our season with those bastards in Tuscaloosa who are gunning for yet another NC while we are relegate to the chicken bowl.

good season record wise considering all of the injuries and unexpected losses... but it was disappointing to lose games against Florida and Alabama that were very winnable

I think that is crazy.

Actually, a lot of posters did. They even wagered perma bans on the game. Funny how that thread got deleted.

I would give us a solid 8. 10 means winning the BCS. I'm not giving two shits about how close we won some games. We were about the 4th best team in the SEC this season. So nothing to holler about. But we really didn't have a bad season either.

6.5 I'm pretty disappointed this year as I really thought we would win the SEC. I fear we may see a similar result next year

Bowl game is big for how I rate this season.

As of this moment, I give it an eight, but I would have to bump that down to a 7 or up to a 9 depending on the bowl. If LSU goes 11-2 and finishes in the top 5 or so, I just have a hard time giving the team anything but a 9. 10-3, no championship and possibly falling out of the top 10 does not merit an 8 with the expectations we had coming in (even with the distractions).

considering the suspensions, injuries (to whom and when) and losing the team goals after the bama game i rate the coaches a 10. as far as the season goes i rate it an 8. it was fun and had some great moments but the disappointment in the bama game is heavy, heavy. the florida game, while disappointing, just proved to me that our offense was in need of serious repair. the coaches and players did this.

The loss to Florida killed the season. I don't think anyone expected us to beat Bama after shitting the bed on 1-9-12.

Couple that with the lackluster play early in the season against far inferior opponents and the season didn't have a special feel to it at all.
I'm rolling with a 6 also.

6-6.5

LSU played some fairly lackluster football against teams that had a considerable talent deficiency. Too many close games that that shouldn't have been that close.

The offense played less than inspired football although I don't put that on the players.

When the defense needed to stop Bama they sinply couldn't do it.

Winning 10 games in a season where you were favored in eleven games and played at home the one time you were underdog is not an accomplish worthy of much more than a 6-6.5 rating.
