I think it has a lot to do with the offense, or lack thereof. We do not have any offense. Even my gf who was at the game with me noticed that we don't have an offense. It was sad. Rivers in the first half was a great example. Two or three guys stationary in the corners, Rivers dribbling his arse off to create separation, no separation, horrible shot put up.
We need an offense.
ETA: Just looked at the box score and my observations during the game are supported. Roberts was our best player.

Points don't always say who was best on court last night.
I'm not saying he didn't help....but he's gonna hurt u eventually.
Last night I thought miller had a great game. Did lots of stuff that doesn't show up in box score but he was a huge reason for our comeback. His defensive rotation was incredible esp on help side
That said under 7 min miller locked up big time and when he got the ball wanted nothing more than to get rid of it.
Our offense while never great moves a bit more with gravy. Roberts is too content to do It himself and when he does decide to pass it's never the easy pass.
If he can learn to pass he could become a really good player

I'm not going strictly on points. He had the most points and a high FG percentage. He also had 4 assists.
You keep saying he's going to hurt you eventually. What does that mean? That he doesn't end games well? That he forces shots? From what I saw last night, I put everything on the coaches. We do not have an offense. It's up to each player to create a shot, and he was the best at doing that last night. Should he pass it more? Of course. But that offense is so bad that the burden is on each player to make something happen.

Roberts is very streaky...I say he's going to hurt you eventually as soon as he cools off or has a bad play, it tends to stay with him. He will stop letting game come to him and start pushing too hard. shots/too much dribbling/poor decisions trying to find the homerun
I will definitely put it on the coaches though. Not his fault he didn't come out. I don't see how you leave Gravy out when he's prob. the most consistent finisher around the goal with his floater.
While the offense is bad, it really stalls when Roberts is on the floor. It's almost like he has to get a certain amount of dribbles in and scared he only has that one possession to get them.
When he's at his best he is slashing and driving. And he's fast enough it's tough to stop. But way too much he settles for that one cross pull up jumper right inside the 3 point line (which is a terrible shot for any player even if it goes in, just low percentage for no payoff of extra point.)
