LSU-A&M on Thanksgiving night?

Lets hope not, I've been opposed to this suggestion from the first time I heard it, but if the NFL is going to play on NBC on Thanksgiving Night from now, it would be mind bogglingly stupid to play opposite that game.

Most likely. At least it's two more days to get ready for the SECCG.

I agree...
A 2:30 or even better a 6 PM game on Friday would be so much better. Gives most fans enough time to get to town and tailgate some.

What does the NFL playing have to do with anything?

I wouldn't mind testing it out one year just to see what it's like to watch a LSU game after all that turkey.

Only if its an 8 pm kickoff, this gives plenty of time for turkey, then the game, however my first choice is always Saturday!

Playing a game in tiger stadium on thanksgiving night is as bright as having one on some random other Thursday night game.
We aren't virgina or nc state, or Syracuse,or rutgers.
frick... people.

The down side to Friday is that is the worst day for students. With a Thursday game, they can just postpone the trip home until after the game and still have 3 days. With a Saturday game, they can come back early. Friday just completely screws up the weekend for the students.

If you agree to it once, the SEC will just do it every year. Hell, they don't give a shite about fair scheduling and they'll probably stick it to us again.

Also remember, these are college kids, they need to be home with their families. That is more important than our need to watch football.

Supposedly Texas is going to start hosting a game against TCU, Baylor, or Texas Tech every year on Thanksgiving night.

Who cares what Texas does. Their stadium is half full for TCU so how's that working for them?

Texas is a bigger program than LSU and are playing. Getting a good view share as well.

The NFL was beating college games in the ratings when the game was on the NLFN, on NBC it will be a bloodbath. The LSU-Arkansas game tomorrow is the only game on at that time.

Hopefully ESPN sticks with them

They traditionally played A&M on Thanksgiving, it's their tradition. Last year LSU-Ark on Friday out drew that game and so did the NFL game on the NFLN.

Let the Big XII have that time slot...

We played Bama on Thanksgiving night in 1973. Both teams went into the game undefeated at 9-0. Bama was ranked number 1 and LSU No. 7.
Bama hit some big plays early and won 21-7. The Tigers lost their last regular season game at Tulane then in the Orange Bowl to Penn St. Mac was never the same. LSU didn't beat a team that ended the season in the Top 20 after that season.

Will be interesting to see what the ratings are. The NFL game on NBC is a blowout whereas the college game on ESPN is still somewhat competitive. I'm watching the college game.
