I was actually thinking along similar lines but a little different. We barely won on the road in Tiger Stadium against LSU with them having two weeks of rest before playing us. I wonder how bad we would have beat them if we had also had an off week.
It is obvious that our off week came way too early in the season this year and we should always take our off week before we play LSU.

You had an off week last year. How bad did Bama beat LSU then?
I agree that the week off is a luxury but you can't escape the fact that you guys play the shite of the east...this year and next.

You had a bye before playing us in 09, and we had a lead going into the 4thQ
Wonder who would have played Texas in the NC that year if we had also had an off week.
