I disagree. I have liked this season so far. Def. better than seasons 3,5, and 6

I like where this season has taken us. Seems like the writers looked at the past seasons and decided to stick with what was successful.
Most seem to have enjoyed S2, so they have brought back the search for the BHB; and Titus Pullo is arguably the best antagonist since Lithgow in S4.
So far, this season earns an A in my book.

Listening to them talk about what they're going to do to each other is hilarious. Pullo is in continuous WTF? mode, and I expect he'll stay there up to and through the moment Dexter kills him.

I like the season, but I'm getting tired of Dexter completely shifting away from the code and putting himself into amateur situations that could be his downfall.
Also, based on the previews for next week, Deb's potentially let him know her feelings for him (I doubt it though) when he betrays her and tells her he has feelings for Hannah.
Does she breakdown and tell him she loves him at that point, or is she over him because she knows what he is now?

Disagree. Enjoying this season so far. The interaction between Dexter and Deb is much more interesting and the introduction of the Russian antagonist, Sirko, and Hanna have created the makings of one of the best seasons to date.

I hope they bury that story line. Deb hopefully is not still in love with him that way

Read my mind.

wow a lot of denial in this thread. OP...I finally realized that the writers were out of tricks with the Hanna McKay story line. The writers are noticeably out of fresh material. The Russian's good acting is the only real intriguing part about this season.
I could not agree more. They are getting desperate.

How are they out of fresh material? The best thing about this season so far is that Dexter told Deb from the first episode what he is instead of making the entire season about that, which they could have done.
I'm really intrigued about them re-opening the BHB case and I have a feeling that its going to get Laguerta in some hot shite.
Also, how can you say it's the same old stuff when Deb has evolved to asking Dexter to kill? She would have never done that in any season prior and has been pretty adamant about not giving in up to this point

Me and the wife have watched Dexter since the first show and I think this season has been great! Last season was a bit of a let down but with all the twists this season it's right back at the top of it's game.

Agree, Dexter has righted the ship this season. 5 was an absolute dud (I actually didn't mind the Jordan Chase storyline, but the finale was terrible) and last year showed potential but ended up falling flat as well.
This season is shaping up to be just as good if not better than 3, although maybe not quite on 1 or 2 level.

I really hope I get to see Julia Styles back again.
I enjoyed that season and her character a ton.. it was such a nice make up for what happened after the ending of 4 I believe.
