no doubt it would be nice to have a tall target in the corner of the end zone. This would help our red zone efficiency. Jump ball one on one in corner of end zone when QB throws to that spot very hard to defend, especially if they got to protect against a Full back like copeland running up the middle
This is the corect answer.
Thanks

I'm just going to cut to the chase and call you a fricking idiot

OP's post makes no sense. How does any of those points have anything to do with getting a big WR...

I'm..not really seeing why a hypothetical defensive meltdown means we need a big receiver?
like, they don't really go together at all.
The best defense is a great offense.
Times are a changing, time to get on board the offense train..
TXAM defense player who made the game winning INT says "piss off!"
You do realized just how close TXAM came to losing that game right? If the "great football coach" Saban maybe would have run the ball or even a SCREEN. Bama was getting 3.9 yrds per carry.
First and goal on the six with 4 minutes left. One run and three pass plays with THAT offensive line?

Don't forget about Travin Dural. 6'2" and can leap a small building in a single bound. Had he not broken his tibia in fall practice, he would have seen significant time this fall. Kid can play.

what if we don't give up that TD to Bama?
and...
... you appear to be a fricking idiot with a thing for apostrophes.

I would take Josh Reed over any receiver LSU has had in the last 20 years. That said I agree. I would rather have a physical specimen at receiver in the 6'4" range.

Damn right. We really need a big tall receiver to field those onside kicks. Man you really know your shite! Can someone pull the Internet plug on Choctaw please?

but whats happens if Miss State completes the pass instead of the Loston pickoff
but what happens if LSU doesn't stall on 2 of their drives and gets TDs instead of punting.....then we win by 30+.
Doesn't matter....37-17

i could not agree more. hopefully that is the priority in 2014. We have enough of the small receiver types (6'0). Time to get a few taller guys

Not all tall WRs play like big target men. T Toliver certainly didnt.

So, I'm guessing the OP wants a tall WR to play in our prevent defense and on special teams?

A big WR would be nice, but I don't see how it's evident every game. Landry has the quickness in his routes and the hands to get it done in the end zone despite his size.
Hopefully next season and beyond Desean Smith will provide some size in the receiving game.

With Desean Smith and hopefully Jacory Washington in the fold as flex TEs we will be fine in the red zone for the next few years.

We need to recruit a big, tall WR like it is its own position.
i'm sure we are trying to do exactly that (just like every other team). our red zone offense needs a tight end receiver and a tall guy to throw the fade to. hopefully, mett will improve his fade pass as the pro's will definately require that. and he has improved it somewhat but needs to keep improving.

Mike the Tiger is finally getting some age on him. That said if we could land a 1 armed kicker I think that would put us over the top!

A tall WR could've given the D a pep talk, to make sure the other team didn't score, seeing as it is a known fact that tall WRs are the best motivational speakers. He could've given one to the special teams unit as well. I agree completely. We are in need of a tall WR to rally the troops and ensure that hypothetical losses like this never happen again.
