The 15 blocks and 28 rebounds is just an amazing defensive performance. Plus he had 24 points. Only in 36 minutes.
By the way, Orlando still only won by 2 pts.

The fact that Shaq never led the league in boards or won defensive player of the year is amazing.
He left so much on the table and still is a Top 10 player.

There have only been 4 quadruple-doubles in NBA history. Two have been posted. (Hakeem and David R)
Alvin Robertson is more impressive IMO. He's the only one to do it with steals instead of blocks (aside from the standard pts-reb-ast)
February 18, 1986 - Alvin Robertson
20 points
11 rebounds
10 assists
10 steals

This is so true. That being said, if I were drafting a team for a game-7, Shaq in his prime gets super strong consideration for my first pick. In his prime, whenever he was fully healthy and, most importantly, fully engaged, the guy was a force of nature unlike anything we've ever seen. Before people murder me, I'm not saying he's better than Jordan. Just different and playing a position that could potentially wreak massive amounts of chaos.

Either that or Shaq's line in the OP are most impressive. Total dick move by his coach not playing him in the 4th with that line.
