MJD? and Trade talk?

Does anyone have any idea or opinion on when/if he will be back? I am being offered Brees/MJD and I would give up Rodgers/Charles. The major reason I would do this is Rodgers has a bye coming up and Brees does not. I need every win I can get, but this does no good if MJD is out for a long period of time.
Other RBs are Forte, FJax, Spiller, Dwyer, JStew
Help?

Stick with the sure thing.

frick no dude. You're giving up a healthy RB1 for a RB1 that might be back for the playoffs. No upside for you.

How do you know it's that long away? I have searched everywhere and all I have seen is it's a spraign.

Outside of one game Charles has been no better than Fjack/Spiller/Dwyer/Stewart.
Charles is a far cry from a RB1 in my book.

He was still on crutches watching the game this past week

Are you an idiot?
You can't take away games just because they help your argument. Take away MJD's one good game and he's no better than Law Firm.
As of right now, he's an RB1. 7th higher rusher in the league.
MJD wasn't exactly Arian Foster when he was playing either.

Get another RB off him of he wants what you have so bad.

A 40 point game does no good when you consistently score 10 and under the rest of the time
Charles is the Kevin Ogletree of RBs. Actually, he's doing what MJD did last season. 1 or 2 huge game and a bunch of bed shitting otherwise

What does consistent score under 10 mean?
He's got games of 44, 19 and 20. He also has games of 8, 2, 4 and 1. Whenever he gets fed the ball, he blows up. When he only gets 5 carries, yeah he doesn't do shite.
Would you consider Lynch an RB1? He only has 1 more good game than Charles.
You can't take out the good games to help your argument. You could do that with nearly every player.

The majority of games he's scored under 10 points?

Ok? That's my point. He's not consistent enough.
Im not talking about cumulative points. A person' total points really mean little. Games are played week to week, Im talking individual game basis. 40 points is great for one week, sure. 8,2,4,1 isn't.

Sure Charles is an "RB1", as in the #1 RB on most teams. RB is a thin position.
Id rather Lynch despite his lower total points. Only 1 game under 10 points and is more consistent.

Well, you can't if you bow to total points score. I can if Im looking at what a guy scores consistently on a week to week basis.

I have 4 games under 10 for Lynch. So 4 over, 4 under. Not consistent at all.
I'm not arguing the inconsistency. This all got started when someone questioned whether or not he is an RB1, which he clearly is.

I'm talking PPR. Supposed to be Charles' bread and butter and he still can't top 10 points in 4 weeks.

For future conversations, I think it's safe to assume people are talking about standard.
Why is PPR supposed to be his bread and butter? He's on track to tie the most receptions he's ever had in one season.
I'm confident that the Chiefs will feed him the ball more now that Crennel has gotten blasted in public for not using their stud RB.

PPR is the new standard. It's 2012. Everyone is doing it.
PPR is his bread and butter, meaning he has a lot of value catching passes. If he isn't getting it done on the ground, he gets points for catching passes and gaining yards through the air. In theory, it prevents him from scoring under 10.
He has 19 catches through 8 games (half of the season). I assume you multiply that by 2 and you get 38? He caught 40 in 2009 and 45 in 2010, yes?
Whatever, Im a Charles owner. I hope he turns it around.

What motivation do the jags currently have in rushing him back.

No one knows how long it will be right now. Foot injuries are always way more trouble than people think. He is for sure missing next week. Probably the week after as well. Jags are already 5 games back in the division and 3 of a wild card spot, so there is no reason to rush him back.

He's already had a bye, so he's only played in 7 games. I took the 19 catches he has so far and divided by 7 (the amount of games he has played), getting a total of 2.7. Multiply that by 16 games (the amount of games in a season) and you get 43.2, only 2 off of his highest total ever.
And PPR is not the new standard. Majority still play in standard scoring. A league should never be assumed to be PPR.
But yes, I'm with you. Chiefs need to get their shite together and give this man the rock.
