As a dog owner, I really think its good that he owns one. He can see the other side of how a dog acts. It'll give him a new perspective

Lets not beat a dead dog here.

Wasn't expecting so much support for Vick. Glad to see it.

+1. He seems to be approaching it the right way. Good for him.

I don't care if he owns dogs, nor do I care if he fights dogs.

That dog will probably have a better life than 86% of the other people out there in the world
FIFY
And as one poster said, sadly this dog will be watched and protected more than most children

I agree. And his kids will learn to love pets like he never had the chance to as a child. Breaking a cycle is a good thing.

here is a better question: "how long until vick goes broke after retirement?"

He paid off all his debt supposedly and has a new financial advisor Jewish guy. He consolidated his homes into 2. One for his mom and family and one for him.
Hopefully this is a trend and he can collect more paychecks that will be properly invested.
I think going broke and going to prison was the best thing that could've happened to that man.

He shouldn't be a dog owner ever
His kids can be but IMO he shouldn't have that privilege ever again
and I don't care if you agree or don't

For what its worth, Vick has me convinced that he's a changed man.

The man has given his pound of flesh, let him own a dog again.

This. Although it wasn't the best thing for his career but that's not nearly as important.
