shepard made a poor decision. nothing about LSU fit his playing style. he came to LSU because he saw jj at qb and thought he could start for four years. bad, bad decision.

No way he gets drafted last year.

He's given 110% at LSU even though this offensive coaching has been subpar.
LSU has been lucky to have him.
Agree again.
Why the crap doesn't Miles use him if he talked him into coming back? That makes Miles look like an idiot and could hurt future recruiting.
(Those of you that have seen me post before know I'm a big advocate of Miles but I have grown weary of his stubbornness.)

Then he should've left cause he ain't playing much football now.

Going pro to take minutes from TT in the UFL? RS is a nice kid but he has no chance to play at the next level regardless of his speed.

The nice thing about the NFL is that they pay those scouts and assistant coaches good money and they're good at what they do. If a player has the talent and can contribute to an NFL team, he will likely be drafted or picked up at some point.

I'm not talking about him playing at the next level.
I'm wondering what is going through his head. Seriously.
Miles flies over, says some stuff, "Look, I know you're frustrated. Stay with LSU, you will be used more than you have been, etc"
I have no idea what was said but I'm guessing it would be along those lines. So now he stays and.....
He gets a 78 yard TD run against Towson. You don't see him the rest of the game.
I saw him on the field, not counting on special teams, once in the Florida game.
Last year he had 7 rushes. 7! For the entire season.
See what I'm getting at?
I know none of us will really know but it does make you wonder. Or it makes me wonder.
Why stay? For what? So I can sit here and play one down a game?

He's thinking "I wonder why I got cut by 3 teams this summer".

He got a 78 yard TD last game. He needs the rest. We are saving him so he can make a pass against Arkansas.
Exactly. Not to mention we brought him over to LSU so that he can play the wildcat in the bowl game this year. I hear we've been working him out a lot preparing for that inevitable opponent. Exactly why we mainly rested him for 2009 Washington. We screwed up by letting him get those two TD's against UNC in '10. Now, we're just backing off and we are gonna strike a hot iron come sometime in late December to early January. Then we will knw exactly why we were right in assuming that he'd be a legend. I cannot wait.

Shep is a classic example of why LSU will be hurting soon for offensive recruits. He would have been better served to have played at Oregon. Truth. I feel sorry for him.
Our recruiting will be OL and RB. I almost feel sorry for QB and WR recruits who come here. They almost certainly will be underused and underdeveloped based on the last few years of evidence. Why would you come here as a four or five star WR or QB based on what you've seen the last five years?

Maybe getting an education also had something to do with his coming back as well as playing football?

Miles should use Shep in goal line situations w run/pass option. It's our best chance to score. Florida game to end 1st half would have been ideal. Miles has no grasp for the obvious. He needs to pay attention to the RANTARDS!!!!!
