Yes, but what I wrote wasn't about the offense struggling. It was about what offensive strategy is being utilized. Like Roger said just a second ago, when inexperienced backup linemen are utilized like the starters are then they are being put in a position to fail.

Everyone knows Les likes to run the ball. We were doing a great job running behind Faulk( which we've done for 2 years. Faulk goes down and has to move JD ( whom is far better in run blocking than pass blocking)to left t. So with out our best run blocking Olineman we start to pass a little more and all the sudden our receivers ( which had the advantage of cb looking into the backfield for run support)start not catching the ball. So Les is fricked any way he tries. We can't run the ball because we have lost 3 Olineman and our receivers are getting zero separation and barely have any time for a play to develop.

I do admit that for some reason we abandon passing to the middle of the field. I admit that the playcalling is predictable and almost every third down , I could tell what we were running by our formation( if I can ,you know a dc can). I think Les needs an OC Like Chief, but what I don't like is posters saying Les' offense have always sucked, when facts say otherwise. I agree that playcalling is frustrating, but at this point what options do we have. Our receivers are getting locked down by straigh up man cov( when thy do get open they drop it) and teams are stopping our run game with just a normal front seven.

But like I said, any team that loses 3 starting Olineman, starting rb, gimped up fb, is gonna struggle.

You are not addressing the issue. For this game, miles "favorite offense" will not win. Are you saying that if LSU runs into a team that can stop his offense, LSU might as well forfeit because les won't change?

Points per game is not a great metric for offense since defense and special teams can have a great effect on it. In yards per game LSU is consistently bad. The only year since 2007 that we have been better than 50th was 2007, which was also our highest points per game and the only year in the past six that we have had more passing yards than rushing yards.

Last year LSU had high points per game but very low yards per game due to short fields and defensive scoring. Miles offenses are not good. They are average at best, and bad at worst. However the defense is so good that average and even slightly below average is enough to rack up a lot of wins.

The Miles philosophy is feast or famine. If we can run up the middle then we will win, but if we can't then we aren't going to put up any points. If your entire offensive production is reliant on being able to do something that no team can ever guarantee being able to do then you're going to have problems.

And part of the problem with the WRs is that the play calling has no rhythm and the offense is so tepid that they can't develop any comfort with the QB or any confidence. They may see one ball at the beginning of the game and then they won't see another til the second quarter of the next game. If you want them to get comfortable you've got to target them more.

I mean, everyone complains that we can't rely on the WRs to catch so we have to run, but obviously we can't rely on the RBs to get yards either so apparently we should just stop fielding an offense?
