Yeah to each his own. I like Brody and Carrie and their dynamic. Saul is the moral compass and I assume he'll stick around as well.
I wonder if anyone will be in the CIA after the finale . Saul has no future as long as Estes is there, Carrie hasn't been in the agency since Season 1- and if she pursues a relationship with Brody I doubt she'll be reinstated.

Have you wondered how Carrie is making a living now that she is no longer employed? She probably has no medical insurance so who is paying for her meds? Is she on food stamps? Or, is she secretly employed by the CIA all along to provide a distraction from the real story about outing the mole? Hmmmmm.

I wonder the same thing

I'd guess that CIA consultants make bank. She also probably made a good living while in the CIA.
Is Carrie really going to cover up the death of the VP of the U.S.?

Is it me or is it weird that his wife calls him Brody.

I don't think she will out Brody. It looks like the president died of a heart attack. No one will suspect any different. She believes Brody gets his pardon for helping get Nasir. She will keep her mouth shut.

If Brody has his way, yes.
I'm really on board with the theory that he is just manipulating her into keeping her quiet, and that Brody and Nazir planned this whole thing all along.
If that's the case, Estes and his hardline actions would actually be justified - how effed up is that?

I agree that Brody is leading Carrie on and I hope he dies. I support killing terrorists.

thats what i love about his character. hes a terrorist but he hasn't actually done anything wrong. granted he very easily could have gone kaboom in the season 1 finale but he hasnt done anything detrimental to the US. in fact he has killed 2 known terrorists in Walker and the bomb maker. Walden was a frick head and maybe he was actually trying to protect Carrie and save her life.

I do as well. The show really puts your own values to the test, and that's what makes it great.
Brody's character is a joy to watch. I love Damian Lewis. I want him to succeed in the shite he does on the show. However, he's a damn terrorist. I find it brilliant that the 3 people he has killed are Walker (terrorist), bomb maker (terrorist agent), and Walden (non-terrorist, but morally-questionable). The writers really push his character to the limit.
I like Saul. He's the moral compass. He's the smartest and most thoughtful guy in the room. He's Carrie's caretaker. However, he's soft.
We are conditioned to hate Estes for trying to assassinate Brody and discredit Saul. However, IRL if I didn't know any better, I'd want him to be doing the EXACT same thing

How do we really know that Nazir is dead? Did anyone with any credibility check his pulse? I was hoping Carrie would ride in the ambulance with him to the morgue as a confirmation. This could all be a major conspiracy to protect Nazir and get Carrie off their cases.I trust no one, except Saul and Carrie, and sometimes wonder about Saul.

I guess we don't, but that would be a huge conspiracy lead by the CIA, and I don't think Estes is bright enough to be an agent of Nazir.

I think the writers want us to wonder about him- Eileen's death, razor blade, failed polygraph, etc.
However, he has alibis for all of that stuff. He liked Eileen because the had similar childhoods. Saul did fail the graph about the blade but Saul passed it later after he calmed down.
Saul just don't seem to have a bad bone in his body. He's Carrie's surrogate father, takes the thinking man's approach, and obviously is sympathetic.

Yeah I thought that was dumb too.
Also, wouldn't sniffing dogs have been brought in the first search and gone straight to Nasir?

I noticed that early in the series and it bugged me too. Early on, I had to go check on who they were talking about. It's not uncommon though. I used to work with a guy that went by his last name. His wife also used his last name. It mostly occurs when the last name is a one syllable word and when folks grow up with it being used that way.It is weird tho.

Either that was just sloppy story-telling or "the mole" was conducting half-arse searches like Carrie said in the beginning.
Hopefully we can get some payoff on the mole in the finale.

That has bugged me all season, and I keep picturing her English language students sitting in the classroom wondering where their teacher is

That's something that I've been wondering - in the case of Bin Laden he had several look alikes that were used; when he was captured they had to do a DNA test to verify it was him.
(Although I'm pretty sure Nazir is dead)

She was teaching English to Arabs at what appeared to be a University so that prob takes care of her insurance. And when the CIA pays you as a consultant or a contractor, you actually make more than what you'd normally be paid as an analyst.
