Definately call your carrier direct if you know your deductible. Going through the agency just creates more delay and you dont get the detailed instructions the carrier is going to give and you dont get to relay the damage first hand.
FWIW, wick is on it 100%, carrier much prefers the claim go directly to them. Helps in a big way with claim triage and assignements

It's still 24-48 hour turn around no matter who calls..
no argument here, but if you get the correct info from the customer and the agent call it in, it's still taking the same amount of time to process.
