And be sure to go here for great BBQ! Ridgewood is about 15 miles from the track. Better get there early, though. That place is packed even on regular weekends.

Lots of neat eateries and music venues on State Street. And you can always stand in the middle of State Street and piss in two different states at the same time...

And you can check out the BCMA museum there on State Street, as well. Bristol is where Ralph Peer discovered the Carter Family. Jimmy Rodgers also recorded here. Lots of interesting things here in this museum as Bristol is considered to be "the birthplace of country music".

Or...you could go to the Carter Fold and Carter Family museum in nearby Hiltons, Virginia. (That's Mother Maybelle, Sara, and A.P. Carter) for those who have no idea...)
