I think 3 POV's a week would allow us to dissect the most information. I'm doing my third pass through Dance right now with the look deep at everything approach and I am already asking new questions 8 POV's in.
Plus it will kill more time this way. I think this is secretly why we are excited about the reread. We will likely only have 4 years left after we finish

Wasn't sure the protocol for starting a new thread with this one going so I'll just do it here.
I want to talk about something that truly pains me throughout the books....
Lannister pride.
I'm sure most would agree that Tyrion and, surprisingly, Jamie become two of the best characters in the book. Characters we continually root for.
I love their perspective, but it kills me almost everytime GRRM puts their thoughts in italics while they are having a conversation.
If they would just say what they are thinking, I feel like people would trust them and see them in a totally different light, but their pride keeps them from saying what they really feel and think.
It's tragic really. They could change the whole tone and direction of the game but they're too stubborn.
Specifically, Jamie's treat session with Edmure Tully, and almost every chapter with Brienne. Even his face to face with Catelyn could have gone differently if he had told her his true thoughts.
Tyrion's most obvious example is all of his interactions with Sansa. The two of them could have helped save each other, and they both deserved to be able to have someone to confide in, but Tyrion was too bitter about his father casting him aside without giving credit for all he did to save the city and the throne to try to comfort this child, his wife, who has literally had EVERYTHING taken from her by his monstrous relatives.
His interactions with Griff and Jorah as well.
We've learned the history behind Tywin's pride, and his tension with Aerys over Cersei being shunned as bride for Rhaegar as well.
Cersei is the most prideful of all of course, but her pride isn't hiding some inner goodness like Jamie and Tyrion, she is completely evil and selfish imo.
Just wanted to see everyones thoughts on that tragic and costly family flaw.
