The captain-general’s tent is made of cloth-of-gold and surrounded by a ring of pikes topped with gilded skulls. On his deathbed Ser Aegor Rivers famously commanded that when he was dead, the flesh was to be boiled from his skull and then to be dipped in gold and placed on a standard the company would carry before them when they crossed the narrow sea to retake Westeros. Each of his successors has followed this example, upon their deaths their golden skulls adorn the standard poles of the Golden Company

I forgot about that too, but I kind of half assed Tyrion and Dany's chapters in ADWD.

I don't think they will be introduced until season 5.
But the Golden Company will probably be introduced by all the speculation from Arianne Martell and Cercei and others of them breaking their contract with the city of Myr and them guessing where they are headed

I could see them introducing the Gold Company early as well.

We know Ellaria Sand has been cast. So at least she will be in season 4.

Just finished book 3. I loved how all the story lines ended, except the very end. Catelyn coming back is kind of ridiculous. If the priest can bring people back that have been dead that long then nobody in the band should worry about dying. Ever.

I can't remember if it tells it in that chapter (so I won't spoil it), but there was a rather large price to bring her back. It wasn't as simple as a revival.

I was kind of bummed out when I first heard about Uncat too. But as BluegrassBelle stated, it's not that easy to bring people back to life in ASOIAF. I think Thoros was one of the only few people who could do it; not every Red Priest/Priestess can. Plus Beric died for it.
I think UnCat is going to be put to rest in TWoW; if GRRM plans on wrapping up the story in the next 2 books, I'm sure the body count of alive and undead characters is going to be high. Once the Freys are gone and Cat meets maybe 1 or 2 of her children (I think she's most likely to either meet Arya or Sansa again) then she's going to lose the will to live.

. It's getting too close to S4 to not have this thread on the first page. I imagine once the 15 minute special airs on Sunday that this thread will have a lot more traffic.
All 5 books are on my Kindle and certain quotes will say things such as "2500 highlighters"...I wonder if that's from Kindle readers underlining them?
