So thoughts on the trailer? (since we can discuss it here).
LINK
Obviously we see the Wildlings come over the Wall, Jon and Ygritte get busy, Jamie getting his hand cut off (Eeek), etc.

Who do you think Varys is addressing in the trailer?
Posted on 2/23/13 at 12:12 am to Carson123987
The unsullied look ballin. That scene is going to be amazing

I don't know, I was wondering the same thing.
And is that Meera or Melisandre with the bit about Death?
Also, the hooded fellow = Reek?

Yeah, they look pretty sweet. Thoros lighting up the sword and the Hound's duel with Beric looks pretty sweet as well.

Would make sense and hopefully so.
Interesting that they have Tormund climbing the wall in the one scene.

Would they tease Reek two books ahead of schedule?

i have a feeling that in season 4 onward, there's gonna be a lot of blending of the books. it's not like they're gonna split it up geographically it's all gonna mesh

it doesn't make sense...who is getting revenge? Tyrion on Cersei? Littlefinger? im anxious to see. I absolutely love how Varys and Littlefinger are the narrators to the 2 most recent trailers. Showrunners want to show us that they're becoming big players soon

gotta be melisandre. sounds just like her, and fits her talking about the great other's darkness coming to swallow everything

It's possible I guess. They've already bled content over from ASoS into the 2nd season and I'm sure they're going to want to keep Alfie Allen on screen as much as possible (like they did with Nikolaj Coster-Waldau this last season).
I already expect them to do AFfC and ADwD together in Seasons 5 and 6 (if it gets that far) just because of the actors involved.

I hate that. I'm usually a stickler for continuity, but Martin fricked what continuity is... I guess when they frick with a disjointed storyline... it bugs me.

Right, they wouldn't hold the guy who plays Theon out for two years. No harm in having him around this season.
Posted on 2/23/13 at 2:37 am to Slinger16
I don't mind it too much, just because of how expansive the source material is at this point and there's just no way they can feasibly pull it off when you're talking about actor's contracts/other obligations/time. Then you're talking about the framework of the writing too with the POVs and how they're split up. I feel what you're saying though.
If I had it my way The Following would hurry up and fold, James Purefoy would get over his shite against HBO, and get cast as The Red Viper. Buuutttt I can't have it all.

Of all the people that died in SOS I was most bummed when The Red Viper of Dorne died.
goddamned travesty

I want unGregor dismembered in horrible fashion over that one. The Red Viper is my Boba Fett.
Best. Short-lived. Character. Ever.

I have a feeling that ungregor kills Cersei...
Just a wild arse guess but it fits with Martin's penchant for offering hope and then shitting all over it with glee.
