Apparently the test batch did not come out the way they intended and will not be debuting tonight at the bulldog.

They really need to reboot their head brewer situation or something.

I'm glad they held off, tweak it and get it right even if it delays the release.

Why is it that Nola can come out with a blonde a brown a stout an IPA and a Saison and all of them be a hit basically they're all just solid to really good beers but Tin Roof tries to make 2 different beers that are OFF and just an OK Blonde.
It's beer people just make a decent one and people will buy it right now.

Case in point, Parish Canebrake. Restaurants and bars can't keep it on tap, because it's a really good beer and people are drinking lots of it.

They were only going to have five gallons anyways. If they can't come up with a good five gallon batch for a debut, then I don't know what to say.
Also, before you announce a debut, shouldn't you already have a beer that you are proud of, instead of waiting to see if said beer is good enough the day of the debut?
One more thing, I wouldn't have even announced it publicly, since again it was only going to be five gallons.

How big is Parish Canebreak? Is their operation smaller, they don't produce as much of it, and it's easier to nail down smaller batches?

Size has nothing to do with quality.
All of these places have smaller homebrew sized setups to test things out on. It's beer, not rocket science.

They had good batches of it at Zapp's and WYES... not sure what happened to this one but it's pretty inexcusable.

They both use 30-barrel brew houses.

Well, in all honesty, I don't care. If it's not right, it's not right. Might as well hold it up than release it and have everyone here come and complain.

I agree, but nobody told them to announce a debut of a new beer for tonight. Tin Roof announced it, and didn't deliver. How many times have they screwed things up since they've opened?

I agree, don't beta test on paying customers.
I have pulled for them in the past but I really don't have any hope for them anymore. Hopefully the brewery stays in BR and goes to someone who can put out some good stuff for cheap.

Why are they releasing a porter when it's 100 degrees outside? Wait a month or two.

It would probably taste good if they would've named it Parade Ground Porter like I told them to
