So I purchased Starwars the Old Republic on Steam sale

The damn thing crashes everytime it opens. What a crock of shite!

probably an issue with your settings in windows, do a little research on the topic before you cry.

Which version of Windows are you running?
Couple of things that might help:
-Disable the hardware mouse option (however it's worded)
-Disable movies, you won't miss cut-scenes and it should help a lot
-Run as Administrator and in compatibility mode for Windows XP SP 2
-Running the game in a window may or may not make a difference

Run the repair tool for swtor and if that does not work reinstall the game.

It's probably not a "repair" issue. It's probably a, "He's running an older game on a newer version of Windows" problem.

Dude swtor came out 7 months ago.
The game does eat up computer resources like no other game.
Maybe he needs a better computer.
