I enjoyed the first issue very much. My second issue hasn't arrived in the mail yet, but it's out at the Rouse's if any of you are interested.

Sneak peak below.

Let me know what you think. I gave a gazillion subscriptions as Christmas and birthday gifts. I hope it lives up to the hype. First issue was delayed and worried me, but it was a good one.

Cool. Dangling...what stories did he write or can you say?

Burt, stay out of my threads and I'll stay out of yours.

Sure...his name is James Cullen. I've only read one of his stories in this mag so far, the story about him talking about Jacque-Imo's and fried chicken with the United cabby. Not my favorite piece of his, but a decent example of his writing. He also has a blog called the Accidental Cajun that really shows his talent.

He's a phenomenal cook. He just moved here a couple of months ago. He came here to visit, fell in love with N.O, and moved down here. His picture at the bottom of his article in the yellow chef's coat is from last year when he catered our tailgate for the Auburn game.

His wife went to LSU. I met her up here before they moved. I was wearing my LSU hat and she made a comment. They moved before I had my crawfish boil and had a chance to meet him. I love reading his stuff.

Thanks, DF. I'll be on the lookout and take another look at that article.

Boss, could you have subscribed to Louisiana Cookin'? That's the other magazine similar to this one. I like that one also. The editor of LK used to be the editor of LC.

The July/August issue is still in the distribution channel; doubtful it will hit newsstands before next week. It is in the mail to subscibers; it goes periodical class and takes up to two weeks for full distribution. The premiere issue is still to be found in some places, although it's sold out in many. Barnes & Noble stores in TX, LA, MS, and AL still have a few copies, as does Books a Million.

Keep us posted on what you think of what we're doing.
