I posted that in the gameday thread... thats the one I'm watching...
Also Momo just came on for Fiorentina..
For all the talk about us not wanting Aqualani, I am convinced that it was him who wanted to go back to Italy... You'd have to be a moron not to see his class... He would be so great in Henderson's role of late... It'd also be nice to have Bellamy and Maxi, but I realize those were salary dumps/playing time...

Pelosi broke his tibia and fibula...
So, Yesil and now Pelosi and Borini...

Apparently the hideous away kit was based on a kit we wore from the turn of the century. Its still terrible, but at least more excusable. Why wasn't the fact that its supposed to be a throwback made more public? It explains why its so bad at least.

Seriously, F Rogers for holding Pelosi back from U-20 qualifying. Now he won't be helping our U-20s at the WC.

Pretty sure it was discussed, though perhaps it could have been reinforced more. I was aware it was based off a throwback but I can't recall how I came across that information.

Have those away and third kits been confirmed?
If so, those make the current away and third kits look like a things of beauty.... Those are fricking hideous..
Also, I like the idea of keeping a kit (at least home) for at least two seasons... I understand Warrior wants to make more money, hence the big $ deal they struck, but c'mon...
**I wouldnt blame Suarez for leaving at the end of the year so he doesnt have to wear that crap next year...

No. They were fake.

Sturridge brings so much to this team up top... He had a tough day in front of goal, but some of that was Vorm's excellent play... I'll chalk it up to a little rust after the thigh strain..
So far, looks like £20mm well spent in January..
edit:Enrique is the big mystery to me, sometimes he looks like he has all the tools to be a top LB... but other times its bad decisions and mental lapses... frustrating!

Ok so with Borini out for the season and Sturridge and Cou ineligible, what's the lineup going to look like?
Shelvey up top again? That was a disaster last go round. Morgan is back from loan. We have to find someone to put in front of Suarez. He's been mostly ineffective by himself up top this season. Someone has to occupy the CBs to let Luis play in the hole. Who do we start and where?

Sterling-Suarez-Shelvey/Assaidi
Gerrard-Lucas-Henderson
IMO

Totally forgot he existed. He gave Young Boys fits. Would be worth the shot.

You think we should play Lucas with us needing to go for 2 goals? I guess we don't really have anyone else to play there. Allen has been a disaster recently in that spot.

I think Downing instead of Shelvey... Like the rest..
Posted on 2/19/13 at 11:10 pm to TFTC
Oh shite forgot about Downing.
Sterling-Suarez-Downing
Gerrard-Lucas-Henderson
gives us the best chance IMO. If goals aren't scored in the first half, take off Lucas, put Shelvey as #9 and Suarez as #10.

What has been going on with Assaidi?
Posted on 2/20/13 at 2:59 pm to McRebel42
Saw a tweet where BR said he had some sort of illness
Posted on 2/20/13 at 3:20 pm to tsmi136
Well I meant kinda where has he been all year???
Honestly the only thing I know about him is from FIFA (I know ) but still with that they have him rated somewhere between a 78-80 which is better than Sterling but I have never seen him touch the pitch and I was wondering why that was the case

There's something we don't know. He's certainly not a week-in/week-out starter, but there is no reason for him to have played as little as he has in all competitions (I'm guessing 4-5 matches tops he has truly participated in).

Tony Barrett said BR doesn't rate him... He'll be gone this summer
