I agree there is a double standard.
My problem isn't just the double standard, it's the fact that calling Suarez out now just seems like the cool thing to do and the easiest way to get your name into the news.
This is why I hate the international break. Players are asked dumb questions, they respond with dumb answers and we have to read dumb fricking "news."

Suarez is a massive douche

Did he bring that upon himself? Yes
he did, but…

Doesn't change the fact that the officiating isn't objective and its getting borderline out of control.
amen, and hallelujah… the officiating is TERRIBLE, and their bias is showing…. at this point, it's blatant, and you can't defend them…. i agree, it's getting out of control… but will the FA do anything about it, that's the question i want answered….

Yeah, I thought that was funny too. He's got like a 4 or 5 game sample size for both's play though.
Not to mention Ramires was the most influential Chelsea player in the Barcelona fixtures..

Absolutely not. That's why I can't wait for the day the FA finally gets torn down by Hillsborough.

Ask yourself if he's English. There's your answer.

I didn't even think he was referring to diving... I think he was just piling on... Oh yeah, he also does x, y, z the cheat!
Edit: I didn't even read the 2nd paragraph, apparently... But my opinion doesn't change

I for one do not think Suarez is a massive douche. He takes his game very seriously, yes. He is temperamental, yes. But calling Suarez a douche in a sporting world populated by the likes of Rooney, Ronaldo, Evra, Tevez, Fellaini, Pepe, Marcelo, Ibrahimovic and such past stars as Roy Keane would be unfair. The aforementioned few set the standards on douchebaggery.

Some recent quotes from Torres:
LINK
quote:
"I owe Liverpool a huge amount," he said. "To the people, to the men in charge, to Benítez and his staff, to the city. Liverpool is a fundamental part of my life. They don't remember me that way, but time will change that.
quote:
"I could not have chosen a better place to go when I left Atlético. The other day when the news broke about Hillsborough, I felt emotional. I have experienced that, I know what the people have been through, I have seen them cry. I've lived that, I made it mine. This has arrived too late but it's another step [in the right direction]. And it is things like that that playing for Liverpool gives you: it's a feeling.
quote:
"I decided to leave because I had to take a step forwards. It wasn't the best way to have gone but nor were things exactly as they were sold [to people]. One day the truth will come out. In a sporting sense, nothing was happening; a new project was needed. We talked about that – about growth. My son is a Liverpool fan and he was already kicking a ball before he was one. He was born in the football city; he had no choice."

Good Lord, how bad of form has he been in that I'm not even upset?
Never would have thought that going into this year.

You should be upset because despite his form, Brad Jones is a significant drop from Reina.

We got this Nando character and you can't have him unless the Russian wants him gone.

He's now pretty much won every trophy there is in football... he should come back where his heart is and be happy... come back Nando, we forgive you...
