I'd really like to see a Ramsey-Wilshere axis with Cazorla or Rosicky in front of them. Arteta lacks mobility in a real significant way, and with Ramsey's inability to dribble past people from deep, we could use Wilshere's dribbling from deeper in the park. Arteta has played really well for us since he came, but I can't see him or Rosicky playing for more than one season with us. We need mobility, passing ability, and defensive awareness, and Arteta, being played out of position as he is, isn't mobile enough to suit the way we want to play the game. This lack of mobility is highlighted by the fact that Ramsey and Wilshere have amazing stamina, and run all day.
I also don't think Giroud is playing well enough to pencil him as a starter every game. He's just really profligate. I also really don't like the way Podolski plays on the left. He and Gibbs have a good partnership, but the problem is that Podolski never makes runs to get behind the defense, save for the rare occasion he moves around the box. His movement is more indicative of a false 9 than it is of a winger or a wide forward.

Was rosicky healthy? He should have started over wilshere if so. If not, poldi in the left and cazorla for wilshere prob would have won us that game. The slow starts are killing us this season.

I never know what formation we run once the game starts, always some form of 4-3-3, but either way at the beginning if the season when it was more like 4-2-3-1, Arteta was playing the double pivot to perfection.

That could be the future. As far as positional awareness goes between those two and Mikel, it goes Arteta ---> Rambo ------> Jack. I think we could potentially get into some trouble there. But maybe Ramsey stays anchored more without Arteta staying back there. I'd be shocked if we dropped Mikel at any point this season though. It is frustrating that Santi and Jack haven't gelled well together. In the matches where Jack was in the axis with Mikel and Santi played CAM, we were vulnerable defensively and didn't really break out offensively.
Agreed on Giroud. I wouldn't mind seeing Poldi or Theo start up top vs Fulham. Poldi as LW is frustrating for vast portions of the match, but he also does provide some moments of danger. I yell at him frequently for never running behind the defense. Also, I've been one of his harsher critics, but The Ox may have earned a start with his play of late as a sub.
