The "its not all about silverware" argument is for teams that don't win.

Like I said, y'all are mistaking what I mean when I say that.
"It's not all about silverware" applies when you are talking about changing the culture of the club. Clearly, competing is about winning. My point was that Arsenal don't have to become something they hate just to win something shiny.
"It's not all about silverware" =/= "it's okay to not win silverware."
Look at LFC last year. We are in a similar situation as Arsenal. We've lost most of our best players over the years (Xabi, Torres, Masch, etc.). We've certainly "come down" and are going through a transition phase. Yet we managed to make it to two cup finals last season. A decent feat that didn't need the backing of a an Arab prince. The only difference between Arsenal and LFC is that Arsenal pocketed the money they made on Cesc and RVP, while Liverpool burned it on Carroll and Downing.
