Pre-Cooked ~1lb Lobsters at Albertson's BOGO free ($15) - Snow Crabs $5.99

This was the one on Highland & Airline.
They have them thawed in the seafood cooler, but I asked the butcher for two unthawed and stuck them in my freezer. I may go back get two more.
Does any one frequent this particular Albertson's? It seems they have more smokin hot shoppers than any other store (CCLa moms)

yea they were talking on the radio this morning how there is such a surplus of lobsters right now that the price is cheaper than beef.

I don't trust cooked lobsters for two reasons. First is that you cannot tell if they're overcooked, and secondly, just like crawfish you want to make sure that they're alive until cooked. Too many times I'll see a dead one in the tank and you can bet those end up as a cooked two for one special. Albertson's also puts them in a net bag to make the tail looked absolutely pinned under.
I'll buy 'em live at twice that price, thank you very much.

It took me a good while to figure out what BOGO was
The one time I bought a lobster like from Kroger it tasted weird. Now them snowcrab legs..

These are shipped frozen/boiled from Maine. I watched him open a box to get me these two.
I do get the live lobster from time to time, but two whole lobsters for $15, it will make a turd.

since these are precooked how do you prepare them (heat them up)?

Forget hot dogs, glut means cheap lobster prices
PORTLAND, Maine —
A glut has driven down lobster prices in Maine — bringing cheer to lobster-loving consumers at the start of the state's tourist season but gloom among lobstermen.
Retailers have been selling small soft-shell lobsters in the Portland area for an unusually low $3.79 to $4.99 a pound. At those prices, lobsters have been selling for less than the per-pound price of bologna at many supermarket deli counters......

Apparently that link is hosted by an even cheaper than lobster website.
...and when I said that I'd gladly pay twice the price for a live lobster, it's not because I simply toss $ around, it's because lobster is usually a higher end dish that I want to nail perfectly. For me, paying the extra bucks for a live lobster to be cooked exactly as I intend it is well worth it.

You can google the title and 50 links will pop up for the AP article. I just picked the first one.
I read it in my local newspaper this morning.
