Lol, I thought about Cypremort Point on Sunday. Here is what the Lafayette Kayak Club posted today.

quote:

A note to anyone fishing this weekend's Speck and Redfish Cup. The boundaries have been revised to *EXCLUDE* those waters within Cameron and Calcasieu parish. At this time the state is asking that anglers remain off the water in Cameron and Calcasieu parish until a full assessment of the damage caused by Hurricane Laura can be evaluated. Any participant fishing within Cameron or Calcasieu parish will be subject to disqualification.

Yea I was kinda iffy on that decision. We couldn't really find anything that clearly said yes, and couldn't really find anything that clearly said no so figured it may be best to exclude it just incase.

The Point should start producing really soon, so it very well may be worth a shot this weekend but will likely be crowded as usual this time of year.

Where are the spots at the Point? Straight around the bayview area or more like shark bayou/Quintana. Asking for a friend..
