Mainieri said Arby Fields, who eventually became the starting center fielder after Sciambra’s injury and struggled, has been given an opportunity to return but in a diminished role.

Fields, who is scheduled to play summer ball with Santa Barbara in the California Collegiate League, indicated he might be moving on in a tweet after his exit meeting with Mainieri.

Basically he can tryout in the Fall and possibly be cut if he has a bad Fall?

I'd leave too.

Ugh. Prepare for a continued lack of situational and clutch hitting.

Wish they would have just left that off the article. We have the worst hitting coach in all of D1 but CPM loves him like Miles loved JJ.

Look at the bright side, that means Dunn will be back. Wasn't there speculation he would move on?

I thought I remember Jackson Slaid being a highly recruited player? If so what happened with him and his development. If not, disregard this post.
