I just graduated and started working in New Orleans and am looking for a Rec. league in Nola with late weeknight or Sunday games. Played center mid in BRSA Open League last two years and intramurals. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
And I am a bayern munchen fan.

There are 6v6, 7v7, & 11v11 leagues through CrescentCity soccer which happens virtually every day of the week.
Crescent City
Jefferson indoor has a few leagues, they changed the name recently after ownership switched and they completely renovated the place.
Playmakers out in Kenner
Lafreniere Park has a pretty competitive league on Sundays. Along with other leagues
Lafreniere Park
I've played in the above 3 multiple times, they are fun, the highest competitive leagues are actually good enough skill level for a challenge, there are co-ed leagues, over 30 leagues etc.
There is one more in Kenner one of my friends has just started, I will have to hear back in a few weeks about how it is.
This is true. Highest level of competition in Nola, games out at City Park. Haven't played in it myself, but have some teammates from club who still play in the league.

stay away from islano unless you would to be horribly fouled throughout the game.
i play in the top league out at lafernier. our season just ended. got second in the cup and in the league.
i haven't played at the indoor place since playmakers took over, but i hear it is awesome.
i'm actually getting a team together right now to play at crescent city in the 6 v 6 league that starts on the 13th.

Team Classics?
Yeah the new playmakers league is fun. There is no out of bounds basically, all the nets are in play so it is non stop sprinting, and you can score within the box once again. So there are plenty of goals.
If you played in the top league at Lafreniere you wont want to play in D3 at Crescent City. Problem is in Crescent City you have to win the lower leagues to move on up to the top league.

Played on the Doodze team a few times, until it got unbearable
Those are my boys but their level of commitment was just pathetic. Hung over every game, leaving games at halftime for whatever reason or simply not showing up. I grew tired of playing with 9, or 10 men every game.

yeah, that was our problem prior to this season. i think we ended up putting 22 people on our roster. we had a good core of about 10 that were at every game, and out of the other 12 we usually had five. it was nice having options on the bench.
you guys had a great logo.

Lol, we had 2 games with a full 11 and only one of those we had a sub. I said I'm done, it was way too tough playing a full 90 down players and coming up with a tie, or losing the final minutes. I can't even fault the captain, he tried to organize and was on peoples asses about showing up, but he was the interim captain after the usual guy left town so it kinda just got shitty.

Still haven't been able to get on a squad at crescent city. Anybody have a team in Nola with an opening for the spring?

we may be getting a team together for a crescent city league that starts next month. i'm not the one organizing it, so i'll have to check and see if we still need players, but i'll let you know.

What division?

will probably be the second division. two of us are just trying to stay tuned up for Sundays and the others will probably be working their way back into form.

2nd division there really isn't all that good. I teamed up with some friends of mine who never played Soccer until after high school and we pretty much steam rolled that league.

Got on a Saturday team. Let me know if anybody has a spot on a weekday team.
