frick that shite. I'm trying to make ends meet and take care of my family in this economy. You have to be an idiot to donate to the Multimillionaire Drew Brees Greed/Ego Fund!

frick the starving children, cancer research, etc...donate to Drew Brees.

I'm all for guys getting what they can, but I very strongly agree with this. Not to get too heavy on a Saints board but there about a billion starving people in this world that I could donate any excessive income(which there isn't any) that I may choose to give to charity. I'm sure as hell not going to donate to bump up a guys salary over the 20 Million/year mark.

I think in this guy's right mind he knows Brees would never take the money as a salary and it would go to his charity or something of that matter. Brees may be in the middle of a contract debate and yes I have been angry at times at both sides of the discussions, but I know WHEN this thing gets done give me that first W with Brees throwing for 320 and 3 TD's and all will be forgotten!

From the link, about the guy:

quote:

He is no stranger to fund-raising for worthy causes. He has held major fund-raisers for such causes as a $1 million boundless playground known as Kidz Konnection in Mandeville; several hundred thousand dollars for the Donnie Jarrell Foundation, an ALS society of which he is President, and initially established to assist a 10 time Ironman triathlete and special ed teacher diagnosed with ALS, and for the past 5 years he has directed and co-directed an annual fundraiser to build the $12 million Children's Museum of St. Tammany with the assistance of Jim Henderson and Margaret Orr.
