You make coffee twice a week. Your opinion on this topic is irrelevant. I'll go back to ignoring you now. Have a wonderful day and enjoy your Big Mac at lunch.

At the camp we usually leave it in the freezer to save it from the rats. Dont have to taste good just needs to get the job done.
At home i keep it in an old tin can with a snap on lid in a cabinet.

I have a container with the little rubber seal and snap lock lid that I keep it in, fits one big bag in it. Keep it in a cabinet above the sink along with all the filters and sugar and whatnot. Never failed me before

Good: Holds a 12oz bag of beans (still in the bag) and the square footprint fits neatly in the pantry.
Bad: Can't find another one anywhere

My gf keeps hers in the little bag like you pictured on the right. With the little bendy tabs to keep it rolled up and the one-way valve thing to let the air out. It lasts long enough to drink it all without starting to taste or smell funny or anything so I don't question it.

In the freezer, held closed with a binder clip. This thread makes me realize that this may be a suboptimal method.

Relatedly, does anyone else think that coffee tastes better after it's been sitting out for hours? I always make a pot, then drink half, then put the rest in the fridge to drink the next morning. I find it like 3 times tastier the next day.

I wouldn't consider a Kcup a score either. Buy fresh buy frequently, store briefly, grind at home. 10x better, 10x cheaper.

Air tight container in a kitchen cabinet near the machine. I usually grind in that morning before I put it in the pot.

There have been countless threads on that. Is a K-cup as good as fresh ground in a French Press? Of course not. Are they so much worse to justify the extra time when you have two babies and a job? Most of us with babies and jobs will say no. I'll go back to fresh ground and a French Press in 17-18 years. In the meantime my K-cups taste fine and provide the drug we drink coffee for.

Just out of curiosity, what is so wrong with throwing it in the refrigerator or freezer?
That being said, we store our coffee beans in the fridge.

I assumed the OP was interested in good tasting coffee as he was inquiring about storage, not an expensive compromise to save 4 minutes. I'd rather use my extra time preparing and enjoying good coffee instead of keeping an encyclopedic knowledge of what topics have been previously discussed on a web forum.

My Starbucks french roast k-cups are delicious.
And I store them in a drawer under my machine. R2R couldn't resist coming in and calling people that enjoy the taste and convenience of K-Cups suckers.

I've been going with the Folger's Lively Colombian. It's pretty solid.
And I store them in a cabinet.
