Pretty sure multiplayer is co-op only. Something like you can level up the multiplayer character and import him in some fashion to the singleplayer, towards the galactic war mini-game.

Entering the Collector ship for the first time certainly was memorable.
Can't wait for 3.

I don't like the 3rd person view on this game. It seems off to me. Almost like Shepard is to close. Or the camera angle is off. Gears seemed more 3rd person shoulder cam centered, if that makes sense. Maybe you get used to it?
The Kinect interaction is a welcome addition. More interactive. Can't wait for other games to expound on that feature.......Graw namely.

The new interface annoys me some but when Bioware changed it from ME to ME2 I was annoyed then too. The action was intense and I'm glad that they brought back the M-96 Mattock AR. I don't have an Origin account to play the multiplayer

Yeah frick ea and their origin bullshite. I hope they don't do that for Graw but they will.

Gameplay is far better in ME2. But I think the story of ME1 blows ME2 out of the water.
Let the player decide on the party's gear out.

Personal preference.
I just liked the ability to gear out and establish my own roles for my party.
Some people didn't like it, I suppose.
I had the same complaint with DA2.
Actually, it was worse in DA2.

The inventory system in me1 sucked.
That being said, I wish they would have refined it instead of removing it entirely from the game. Seems like bioware would rather remove entire features for the sake of streamlining instead of reworking the flaws.
Same could be said about the planet exploration from 1. It wasn't perfect but I didn't like how it was pretty much entirely removed from 2.

DA1 was a better inventory system.

Customization looks to be back in ME3, but I agree about the whole "streamlining" thing. There is a fine line between streamlining and dumbing down and BioWare sure likes to toe it with Mass Effect.

Anyways, my impressions on the demo: solid controls although there are slight variances from the cover mechanics in ME2. Enemies attempt to flank you and suppression fire seems to be more prevalent as opposed to the stop-n-pop enemy AI that waited for you to destroy it in ME2. Story was non-existent, a lot of cut-scenes and not a whole lot of dialogue choices to with it. Some of the set-pieces were amazing, can definitely tell that this is what the previous two games were building up to.

Felt pretty clunky IMO. I always randomly fell out of cover, and sometimes when I'd try and enter cover, I'd roll into gunfire. I hated the camera as well. Everything else was solid.

I've been playing ME2 so the over-reliance on the A button has been programmed into my head already

A good chunk of those were early (namely the one where everything kinda goes to shite)... Once you got into the game it balanced better, still the lack of dialogue options sucked, but I'm assuming it'll get better later on...
Another note, that opening cut scene was pretty epic.

I've read that, still it was weird to basically see the character you have controlled for two games go off and emote on "its" own opinions in those cutscenes. I also read that although there was a trial going on for the events at the end of ME2, you don't get to do anything related to it, which imo is a huge role-playing chance being missed. Imagine being able to explain your motives and reasoning, but nope it's all pre-determined.

I am almost certain that the link was posted on here a while back.

That could be, but according to the script the only things different from the demo and the game are a few dialogue choices on Sur'Kesh and Earth. There are some nit-picky things I harbor about the game but after being promised a different game after the DA2 demo and well....that not happening, I'm really not that worked up about it.

I think I understand their reasoning for skipping the trial though... I mean what makes a better opening scene (cinematics wise): Shepard going to a trial or Reapers tearing the shite out of the earth
