Traditionaly you want a leadoff hitter that gets on any way possible and has speed. That means a guy who strikes out very little, draws walks, whatever.
2nd you want probalby you best contact hitter with speed to avoid double plays and move leadoff runner.
3rd 4th 5th are usually power guys, however I've noticed CPM doesn't always put a power guy 4th. He will bat a power hitter 3rd and a good contact hitter 4th (aka Dean 3rd Gibbs 4th). Then maybe another power guy 5th.
