Would love to see Shep, Hilliard and Ford run the triple option...

On a few occasions, lol. Coach Miles was with Colorado when they had that great option attack featuring Eric Bienemy. That would be a nice little wrinkle to throw in there.

What about Hilliard, Stampley, and Copeland? frick speed and running around defenders. Brute force and run them over.

Would love to see this wrinkle added for Bama ... especially since they've already proven they can't stop the option (re: Georgia Southern).

I would be curious to see how the LB's would commit to Russell Shepard when he's line up in the backfield for the option.

I'm sure Paul J would welcome them with open arms...he says if he had those type of athletes to run his offense he couldn't be beat! He said it not me...

Although many scoff at the idea, I won't be a bit surprised if we run the triple option if we play Bama again. We have the types of backs that could make it work, we have a long time to prepare, and Alabama is most vulnerable to that type of attack.

Miles knows that Saban will gameplan for the running attack that we usually use with JJ at QB, so this would be a big break from our tendencies and would likely outflank Saban's preparation.

FWIW, I do not think Miles will do it, but I would like to see it sprinkled in.

I'm fine with the triple option, I scoff at the idea of our WR playing quarterback. If any WR is going to run the triple option it should be Paul Turner.

We just rid ourselves of Gary Crowton's over complicated offense. Less than a year later, our fans want it back.

LSU has those type of athletes to run the offense and can't be beat either.

Triple option overcomplicated? It's actually pretty basic ... no multiple formations or complex reads.

In a vacuum, with an offensive line trained to block for that scheme, those three in that offense would be a pleasure to watch running it.

It's not gonna happen currently, but I can picture it.

If you had lsu-type athletes you wouldn't run the triple option

frick that, let's go quadruple option. JJ at QB who has the option to throw/run/jet swept to RS who has the option to throw/run/pitch it forward to peterson or back to Ford. They'll never know what hit em

I would prefer we continue practicing the offense that got us here instead of installing new plays at the end of an undefeated season.

Trying to learn too many variables is why we couldn't run anything efficiently last season. We use many of the same plays. We are just much better at executing them.
