I would normally just blame the defense for last night

But it's too coincidental at this point. This is the type of team we are when we start JJ. The numbers aren't bad, but the other team is always in the game, we have problems maintaining any TOP advantage because we can't seem to sustain drives, and we're just mediocre. We look lost out there at times when JJ is the starter, as if there is a lack of control in the huddle.

I give JJ full credit for allowing us to beat Bama. We don't beat Bama the last two years without JJ. However, Lee has brought us to this point, and we're a better overall team against every other team outside of Alabama when Lee is the starter.

The playcalling was awful last night as well. I think we ran more option with Lee during his one series than JJ had the entire game. So basically, we completely attempted to reverse their roles in game 10? This is just frustrating that we're dealing with this right now.

well it woulda helped if the defense could stop Western fricking Kentucky, and Odell wasn't fumbling kickoffs.

True. But this is nearly every game JJ starts that we somehow experience some type of TOP discrepancy that just doesn't make any sense. Like I said, it's almost too coincidental.

i am well documented critic of both QBs, but i think we went way out of our way to call pass plays for JJ. we intentionally went away from what we do best for some passing "experience," and thats ok. we knew we could do whatever we wanted and still win.

its clear were going to need both QBs to win it all.

I agree 100% with this post, just look at games from last year and it's a replay of last night. No rythem or identity on offense. Cant blame Crowton or play calling. Run up the middle or throw a bomb, JJ can't look off recievers on mid-range routes so it's just not an option.

bullshite. I've been as optimistic as anyone on this board over the course of the last few years. And I've been a JJ supporter during his fiasco. But the simply fact of the matter, and something that I really can't explain or understand, is that teams stay in games when JJ starts for some reason. The defense played really poorly in the first half yesterday, which can be somewhat expected. But I just don't get it. We played poorly yesterday, maybe the worst we've played all year. Our linebackers struggled, again. And unfortunately, our playcalling seemed bad again. I'm not sure why JJ is under center the entire first half when he's been the most effective this year running outside.

220 yards total offense and 7 offensive points. Come on, people, this was a letdown game after the biggest test of the year. Anywbody with an ounce of common sense could see this coming. We still won by 33 points. Sorry LSU didn't cover, but if you can't afford to lose, you shouldn't be betting.

So JJ starting caused the Odell fumble?

I agree with this. It just seems we wanted our playcalling that would occur under Lee to stay the same in the first half with JJ. JJ didn't have a bad first half, but it just seemed like something was missing.

I just don't know why we move away, with JJ at the helm, of what has been so effective throughout the course of the entire year when JJ has been in the game.

You make too much sense. Miles must of become uncomfortable in the glow of out coaching Saban two years in row so he decided to summons the coaching demons he had exercised with that game and this season.

42-9 in a letdown game and the sky is falling. WKU is not North Texas. They'll probably be bowl eligible. Get a grip.

Exactly. Yet we still managed to put up more total yards on offense than we have all season.

Hard to explain a "feel" or a "rhythm", but it had the feel and lack of rhythm of the 2010 offense.

So you were happy with out first half? You felt as though losing the TOP battle to WKU by almost ten minutes is a positive sign? You think the fact that Lee has less sacks taken in like 200 more attempts than JJ has in like 35 attempts is a good statline for us?

Can you explain this to me. It's the only game all year that I was just shaking my head asking "wtf happened all of a sudden?"
