and they investigated but found no proof. Would his career have been over?

Probably would have been over either way.

No. At worse Penn State gets rid of him but he could at least catch on somewhere else. Now he's done in college football.

I suspect his career would have more likely been over if it had blown the lid off the thing. I think it would be interesting to find out just what kind of pressure was brought to bear on him to sit down and shut up.

Impossible

And the cops wouldn't have done anything even if they had found something. It took the attorney general getting involved to get this thing pushed along.
That sicko got a 100k unsecured bond. That is unheard of for charges that could put him in the pen for life. So, even after all the horrendous charges come out about him, that sick frick is still thought well enough in that town that the judge basically let him walk out of the courtroom with no bond at all.

fair enough. at what point over the next 10 years does he get to a point where watching Sandusky continue to bring kids to the school trump his desire to have a career in CFB.

You know he's from Auburn when he cant figure out the answer to his question on his own. (jk)

What if he knocked Sandusky the F out and called the campus cops! Then Jo pa and AD show up. Next day the PSU mafia meets with Mc and tells him to keep his mouth shut or something bad will happen to his family!
From what I'm seeing there is an extreme case of institutional corruption at PSU. Bottom line no no really knows what happened out side of those involved.

Boom! This just got real. Wonder who they are protecting him from?

No proof? I'm sure the kid would have come clean at that point.

This kid was in a no-win situation from the beginning. If he goes to the authorities with this way back when, he's probably in the same spot he is in today- hiding and being protected. I'm not defending his actions (or, rather inactions) but all of this McQueary focus it taking away from much bigger things at play here.

His Double fisting comment is very uncalled for at this time.. What is that guy thinking saying a comment like that knowing it will get in the media
