As LSU fan's, if we go to the title game, don't we want to play the weakest team? Lets keep it simple. Who poses the less threat to the team and who poses the biggest threat? The biggest would be Bama.

I would love for us to play Okie, we would roll over those guys. I don't want to see Bama, and I still feel Oregon is somewhat of a threat.

Might sound weak on my part, but I hope we get a cupcake team.

That's kind of a bitch mentality. I say bring on the best. I have no doubt this team could beat whoever is put in front of them.

I'd prefer Stanford or the Big 12 teams, simply because it would be fresh.

I think OSU would be the easiest win

I'd rank the contenders this way (strongest to weakest):

1. Alabama
2. Oklahoma
3. Oregon
4. Stanford
5. Oklahoma State
6. Boise State
7. Clemson

I'm confident we beat anyone (besides Bama, & that will be another close one). But as a fan, yes I want the easiest matchup for our team.

Of course I would hope our team doesn't share the same mentality. Anyone/anytime/anywhere.

Boise would work. I mean c'mon guys, I believe this team could beat anybody as well. But for the schedule this team has endured, if they end up getting a "cupcake" team, I'm fine with it.

We have proven ourselves. I wouldn't mind a cupcake at this point.

They gave up over 500 yards to Kansas State, and rolled up 500 yards on them. 1,000 yards in one game. That's what happens in the "No Defense" conference.

LSU would hold them to 17 and 250 yards, and rush for about 350 yards on these guys.

I still say let's play the best according to everyone so we don't have another 03 USC argument to deal with.

I wanna play the best team in the BCSNCG bc if we play someone like Boise or another weak team, all the LSU haters are gonna talk about is how we got all the right breaks all season long. If we dominate the truly 2nd best team in the nation, it leaves no doubt that we deserve to be the champs

You do realize clemson has two loses?

Also if I had to pick between Stanford & Okla St. , I'd pick Stanford. But, deep down i want to play bama again.

you mention Boise...

funny, but earlier in the year it sure seemed Alabama and LSU did some scoreboard watching and tried to make sure we each won as convincing as the other did.

Boise beat Georgia in the Georgia Dome by what, 20? Does that mean we go for 30 or more?

Personally, I'm in favor of playing someone new. Bama and Oregon had their chances and lost. Oklahoma? How many times have they got there and lost already?

Give me Stanford and let's see how Luck handles facing the Master of Luck (aka the Hat)

I want to see us play the weakest team myself. There will be no disputes, LSU will have gone on the road and beat Alabama and Oregon. Whoever we play I think it goes down as the most impressive schedule ever played by a national champion. This schedule was harder than 2007 and we had 2 losses this year.
At the end of the season it will look like this:
Rundown of how I think the end of the season looks:
Beat Oregon on neural site:
top 5 team.
Beat West Virginia away:
Top 25 team
Beat auburn:
Top 25 team
Beat Bama away:
Top 3 team
Beat Arkansas
Top 15 team
Beat Georgia away:
Top 25 team
Beat nc champion:
Top 3 team.
7 ranked teams 3 of the top 5 teams in the nation. Only not playing Oklahoma.

Either you are an alter or you are incredibly stupid. You are pretty much saying Alabama after their loss is number one and that for LSU to play them again. We need to win the REST of our schedule to have the honor of playing against them again. That all Bama have to do is sit there and look pretty and we'll do all the work.

Is that what you are saying?

you can't be serious

ETA: WVU dropped out after they lost to Louisville, and since you are assuming we play UGA in the SEC championship game, you are also assuming they will beat Auburn, which would likely drop them out of the top 25 as well
